Doc Rivers provides newest update on Khris Middleton’s injury status. The Milwaukee Bucks played their 14th consecutive game without Khris Middleton on Sunday. Coach Doc Rivers said Middleton is getting closer to returning.
Middleton didn’t play in the Bucks’ win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, but Rivers said Middleton had a good workout on Saturday.

Rivers has been saying Middleton is close to returning, but Middleton has missed several games. He hasn’t played since injuring his ankle on February 6th against the Phoenix Suns. Middleton got hurt when he landed on Kevin Durant’s foot after shooting a deep shot.
Middleton wants to get back on the court, but he still has some swelling in his injured foot. The Bucks have won 9 games and lost 5 since Middleton got injured.

The Bucks are missing Middleton’s production while he’s out. Before the injury, Middleton was averaging 14.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists. He’s been playing fewer minutes this season because he had a knee procedure in the offseason.
Middleton’s injury has also cost him a big bonus. He missed out on a $1.5 million bonus for missing his 13th game on Friday. He needed to play at least 62 games this season to get the bonus.
